Formula Regional European Championship

Formula Regional European Championship

The Formula Regional European Championship will commence in 2026 as new series that comes from the previous Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA). The series serves as a significant bridge between the different national Formula 4 Championships and the international FIA Formula 3 Championship.

The FREC races take place on several European circuits that are also used by the F1 Championship, ensuring an ideal training ground for our young ambitious drivers. The top competing drivers even have the opportunity to earn FIA Super License points, which are essential for progressing into F1.

The FREC field consists of 30 drivers competing for 10 teams, all racing in identical cars. Accordingly, it provides an excellent opportunity for our drivers to exhibit their abilities in a car that boasts a progressively more powerful performance than the ones used in Formula 4.
