Van Amersfoort Racing welcomes Thomas Bearman to its Formula 4 programme
Van Amersfoort Racing is pleased to welcome Thomas Bearman to the team for the 2026 season. The British driver will compete with VAR in the Formula Winter Series, Italian Formula 4 Championship and E4 Championship during the 2026 season.
Born in Chelmsford, United Kingdom, Thomas began racing at a young age and progressed through national and international karting. After several seasons of development, he made the step to single-seaters in 2024.
Thomas gained his first experience in single-seater racing in the Euro 4 Championship and selected rounds of the British Formula 4 Championship during the 2024 season, scoring points in his final race of the year. He continued to build momentum in 2025 with a full campaign in the Formula Winter Series, finishing eighth overall with 60 points, including a podium finish during the Barcelona round.
Alongside this, Thomas completed his first full season in the British Formula 4 Championship in 2025, taking a race win, multiple podium finishes and eighth place overall in the standings. The season provided valuable experience across a demanding calendar and marked an important step forward in his progression.
For 2026, Thomas will take the next step together with Van Amersfoort Racing across three championships. The focus will be on continuing his development through close work with the engineers and team, while building towards the next stages of his racing career.
