Van Amersfoort Racing celebrates triple podium in Motorland Aragón
During the fourth round of the Formula Winter Series at Motorland Aragón, Van Amersfoort Racing delivered another impressive weekend, claiming three podium finishes and demonstrating strong pace across all sessions.
The weekend got off to a strong start with an impressive first qualifying session. Thomas delivered an outstanding performance to secure pole position. While Alex qualified in seventh, Platon in eighth, and Pedro in twelfth.
In the opening race, Thomas converted his pole position into a podium finish, crossing the line in third after an eventful fight at the front. Pedro narrowly missed out on the podium, finishing fourth. While Alex was also battling for a podium place, he was involved in a collision that resulted in a wrist injury, ruling him out for the remainder of the event. Ultimately Alex came home in P10, while Platon completed the race in P15, providing a solid foundation for the remainder of the weekend.

Momentum continued in the second race, Pedro gained four positions in the opening laps whereas Platon also gained two positions at the start. Thomas crossed the line in second to secure another podium, but a penalty relegated him to third. Pedro followed closely in fourth. The final race of the weekend was disrupted by multiple safety car periods, taking up approximately half of the race. However, Thomas delivered a strong drive to finish second, securing his third podium of the weekend.

With three podiums and strong overall results, Van Amersfoort Racing now sits third in the championship standings. The title fight remains wide open and will go down to the final round of the Formula Winter Series as they head to Barcelona on March 14 and 15.
