Platon Kostin Completes Formula Winter Series Season with Van Amersfoort Racing
Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR) is pleased to confirm that Platon Kostin will join the team for the remaining rounds of the 2026 Formula Winter Series. The 17-year-old will represent VAR in Aragón and Barcelona, completing the team’s line-up for the final two events of the season.
Platon began his karting career at the age of seven and quickly progressed through the junior ranks before making the move to single-seater racing in 2024. In 2025, he contested his first full Formula 4 campaign and made a strong start, securing a race victory and a podium finish in the opening two rounds. He has since continued to build valuable experience, adding two more podium finishes to his results.
At the start of 2026, Platon broadened his programme by competing in the F4 UAE Championship, building further mileage in a competitive international field.
Platon joins VAR for the final two rounds of the Formula Winter Series as Rocco Coronel moves on to other championship commitments. The team thanks Rocco for his contribution during the opening part of the campaign and wishes him every success in the next steps of his season.
