Van Amersfoort Racing welcomes Felix Fu for Formula Regional Middle East Trophy
Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR) is pleased to announce that Chinese driver Felix Fu will join the team for the 2026 Formula Regional Middle East Trophy. The 17-year-old driver will continue his single-seater career with VAR following experience in multiple international Formula 4 championships.
Felix made the step from karting to single-seaters in 2023 after just one year in karts. He debuted in the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship, competing in the final two rounds of the season. Across six races, 10 points were scored with a best finish of sixth, gaining valuable experience in his first year of car racing.
The following season saw Felix enrich his experience across several championships. He competed in British F4, the F4 UAE Championship, as well as the F4 Middle East Championship and Formula Trophy UAE, continuing to build experience in competitive international fields.
The Chinese driver also enjoyed a strong campaign in the F4 Chinese Championship, where he claimed his first victories in single-seater racing. Felix secured two wins, two fastest laps and five podium finishes, finishing fourth in the championship standings.
He entered the F4 Middle East Championship in 2025 and continued in British Formula 4 in the same year, gaining more on-track experience ahead of his move to Van Amersfoort Racing. In 2026, he will join the team to develop himself further as he steps up to the new Formula Regional machinery. The team is excited to see what the collaboration will bring to both parties.
