The news is out! Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR) is proud to share that the team’s 50-year history will come to life on screen this December. Produced by Mark Koense and his experienced team, the VAR50 Documentary takes viewers on a journey through five decades of racing passion, determination and achievement.

The film offers a behind-the-scenes look at the people and moments that have shaped Van Amersfoort Racing since its founding in 1975. From Frits van Amersfoort’s early days as a mechanic to the team’s rise through international championships, the documentary tells the story of VAR through authentic footage, unseen archive material and exclusive interviews.

More than just a look back, the VAR50 documentary celebrates the spirit that continues to drive the team forward today: a shared love and passion for racing and relentless dedication to our work.

The documentary will premiere on 19 November at Singer, Laren, a special nod to the team’s roots and the original garage where Van Amersfoort Racing began. Fans can visit our Instagram page for a chance to win two tickets to this exclusive event. Others will have to wait a little longer: the documentary will be broadcast around Christmas on Dutch television.

A special thank you to Mark Koense, his team and Viaplay for making this project possible.
