Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR) is excited to announce Bruno Del Pino as its third and final driver of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 season. The Spanish driver completes the grid for VAR in F3 and will also participate in the post season tests with the team. Bruno has had a successful season in the Eurocup-3 in 2024 and now switches to compete with VAR in Formula 3 after having competed with MP Motorsport in the same series.

His ambition in karting started in 2017, participating in multiple competitive events such as the CIK-FIA World and European Championships. His career best finish in karting came in the 2018 IAME Winter Cup in the X30 Mini category. Additionally, he came in 9th in the FIA Karting European Championship in 2020. His Formula 4, and therefore single seater debut, came when he joined his uncle’s (Former F1 driver Pedro de la Rosa) team, Drivex School, in the F4 Spanish Championship in 2022. He scored 24 points throughout that year.

The year after that, he entered the grid of the Eurocup-3 Championship. In that season he remained very consistent, by scoring points in almost every race. This consistency gave him the reward of the rookie's title. He remained in the Eurocup-3 for another consistent season the following year and finished 3rd overall in the championship. He wrote his name on three victories, eight podiums and three fastest laps in 2023.

The year 2023 also counted 2 races in the Formula Regional European Championship for Bruno, in which he both scored points. In 2024 he kept on going with the points scoring streak, in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship, by finishing in the top 10 in 5 races. He achieved one 2nd place when he participated in Formula 3 in 2025. In 2026, he will join VAR to continue his career in the same series. Van Amersfoort Racing is glad to have him with us, and the team is eager to see what we can achieve together.

Brad Joyce – Team Principal, Van Amersfoort Racing:
“We’re excited to welcome Bruno to the team as he completes our FIA Formula 3 line-up for 2026. With a season of F3 already under his belt and a strong record in Eurocup-3, he brings both experience and proven consistency to the team. The upcoming post-season tests will give him the chance to get familiar with our environment and we will prepare together for the season ahead. We’re looking forward to working with him and are confident he will be a strong asset as we take on the 2026 campaign.”

Bruno Del Pino – Formula 3 driver, Van Amersfoort Racing:
“I’m really proud to be joining VAR. It’s a project that excites me a lot, and I’m thankful for the trust the team has shown in me ahead of the 2026 season. I can’t wait to give my best on track and work hard to help the team achieve great results.”

The 2026 FIA Formula 3 season consists of 20 races on 10 different race tracks across Europe, Asia and Oceania, supporting FIA Formula 2 and FIA Formula One World Championship. This upcoming year will see Madrid added as a new circuit, making the drivers compete at not one, but two Spanish tracks in 2026. The season will begin on the 6th-8th of March in Melbourne and close off in Madrid on the 11th-13th of September.

We encourage our fans and partners to follow Bruno in his F3 season with VAR this year. Make sure to follow our social media pages to stay up to date with the latest news regarding his progress.
