Platon Kostin joined Van Amersfoort Racing for the final rounds of the 2026 Formula Winter Series, continuing his progression in single-seater racing.

He began his motorsport career in karting at the age of seven, quickly establishing himself as a competitive presence in the junior categories. After several successful seasons in karting, Platon made the step to single-seaters in 2024, marking the start of his Formula 4 journey.

In 2025, he contested his first full Formula 4 season and made an immediate impact, securing a race victory and a podium finish in the opening rounds. As the season progressed, he added two further podiums, continuing to gain experience and demonstrate consistent front-running pace.

At the beginning of 2026, Platon expanded his racing programme by competing in the F4 UAE Championship, further strengthening his experience in international competition. His participation in the Formula Winter Series with VAR represents another important step in his development within competitive single-seater racing.
