• Van Amersfoort Racing begint Duits F3-seizoen in Nederland

    Een bijzonder begin van het autosportseizoen voor Van Amersfoort Racing. Het Duitse F3-kampioenschap start dit weekeinde niet in Duitsland, maar op Circuit Park Zandvoort; het thuiscircuit van het regerende kampioensteam uit Huizen. VAR brengt in 2012 drie junioren aan de start in de ATS F3 Cup: de Zandvoorter Dennis van de Laar en de Oostenrijkers Lucas Auer en René Binder.

    Van Amersfoort Racing heeft het seizoen in stijl afgesloten. Tijdens de negende en laatste ronde van het Duitse F3 kampioenschap won het raceteam uit Huizen beide wedstrijden op de Hockenheimring. Van Amersfoort Racing voegde bovendien de derde hoofdprijs toe aan het toch al succesvolle seizoen: de kampioenstitel voor teams in de ATS F3 Cup.

Invited to race at Macau

27-10-2011 - For the second time in its history Van Amersfoort Racing will be present at the famous F3 Grand Prix of Macau, from 17-20 november. Along with the Masters of F3 at Zandvoort this event on Chinese soil is the most important Formula 3 race in the world.

The Volkswagen backed Dutch team won all the prices in the German F3 championship this year, including the drivers championship with Richie Stanaway. The Kiwi dominated with 13 victories.

With Stanaway behind the wheel Van Amersfoort Racing will be searching for new success. “The F3 Grand Prix in Macau is a very special event. It’s street track is unique in the world and with 30 drivers the competition is huge”, says team owner Frits van Amersfoort.

“We are going to race against the best drivers in the world. It promises to be a special final.” Van Amersfoort Racing was present in Macau one time before, in 1998 with Christijan Albers en Bas Leinders.
